Miss Margo is one week old today.
She's back up to her birth weight and looking good. I've delayed the Hep B vaccination until two weeks, because although I'm a vax advocate, I prefer to space them out as much as possible. We have to take her in for an ultrasound to make sure her skull plates aren't fused, which sounds a lot scarier than it actually is, but I'll write more about that later. She's taking in more formula than breast milk at this point, because during her night time feedings I've been having to breastfeed, then supplement with a bottle, then pump, and change her. It takes so long that I know I won't be able to keep it up once the Sailor leaves. I also can't hand her off to someone if I don't bottle feed, and with three other kids, I need to be able to hand her off sometimes. I'm afraid breastfeeding is probably not in our future with this baby either, but more on that later as well.
We gave her a sponge bath in the twins room. She barely cried, and Anna thought it was pretty rad.

Breastfeeding is so freaking hard. Pumping is exhausting and so time consuming - if I had any other kids there's no way I would have been able to keep doing it.
Glad that the first bath went well! Margo is beautiful.
